Edward is a dual qualified barrister in both England and Ghana as well as a qualified solicitor in Ghana with nearly three decades of practice experience in both jurisdictions. Edward’s area of practice include but not limited to Company and Commercial Law, Banking & Finance (including corporate finance), Energy & Natural Resources, Oil & Gas, International Investment Law & Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs), Property/Land Law, Employment Law, Telecommunications and Technology Law, Intellectual Property, Data Protection, Construction Law, Transport & Infrastructure Projects through Public Private Partnership (PPP) transactions, Criminal and Civil Litigation, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution. He also has knowledge and interest in Public International Law, World Trade Organisation (WTO) Law, Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFT) Law, Human Rights and Constitutional Law.
Edward has provided comprehensive advice to numerous domestic and international companies across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the USA. His expertise spans a variety area of law. He was the lead counsel advising PwC, the transaction advisor to the Ministry of Transport on Ghana’s two flagship infrastructure projects i.e. the Boankra Inland Dry Port and Eastern Corridor Railway Project in Ghana and the establishment of a National Airline Carrier for the Republic of Ghana.
Edward has contributed to the publications in international law journals on foreign judgments, insolvency, data protection, outsourcing, telecommunications and fintech laws and regulations in Ghana.
He holds an LLM Master of Laws (Oil & Gas Law with Professional Skills Option) from Aberdeen University, UK, LLB from University of London, UK and BA Political Science with Public International Law from Birmingham University, UK.
Edward is licensed as an Insolvency Practitioner by the Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors (GARIA).
He is a member of both the Bar of England & Wales and the Ghana Bar Association.
